decisions
I have been quite the blog slacker this summer. I am surprise my friend Jonathan hasn’t commented on that yet.
It has been an interesting couple of months. I really had to come to some very hard and painful decisions. Yes I believe that God puts people in your life for a reason, but there are times when you have to recognize when those relationships/friendships aren’t necessarily the healthiest.
It is struggle between the heart and the head…your heart wants to look at the best in people, you see their potential and you want them to see it as well. Granted I am FAR from perfect, in fact I have quite a few things to work on. ha ha anywho…I digress.
My point is, I don’t think deciding what is healthy for you is a bad thing. I think that if you are consistently giving and giving and getting nothing in return that is being unhealthy and well it is basically being a doormat. Yes Christ asks us to be servents to each other, this is true, but I do think that we also need to realize that we can only do so much.
In this particular situation, I was giving so much it physically affected me. I was getting sick, worn out and I just came to a place where I was like…how is this glorifying God? How is letting myself to feel worthless, being healthy.
So, basically, I have taken myself out of a situation…it isn’t that I don’t love or care about these people still…I really do. However, I think that at this time, I am not called to be in this situation.
Sooo, enough serious stuff…been to Faire A LOT this summer! It has been great! Here are some fun pictures! I will be going closing weekend…that will be fun! AND I am planning on going to Vegas this September. Happy Birthday to me! Woohoo…Ok yes I am going to see the Star Trek thing, that is something I have been wanting to do for years.
Also…I am going to start back on track for the Boulder Bolder next year…I am actually really stoked about that…so NO going out after work until I work out. Must be disciplined!
