birthdays, workouts and pictures..oh my!

Birthdays. Everyone has them. It is the one day a year where you it is OK to be all about yourself.

Actually, this year was a pretty great year,
Friday went out for some YUMMMY Sushi spent the evening with some dear dear friends and ate an Irish pub.

Saturday was great, spend most of the day with my friend, again with another Irish pub, played darts, talked to the owner from Ireland…it was grand.

Saturday nite was full of singing and dancing fun. Karaoke style! Woohoo! It was a lot of fun…I loved it! Felt loved and it was great to have so many friends around. It rocked the Casba!

(ok everyone knows i don't like beer)

It was funny while I was driving home on Friday, I thought to myself. Why do we put so much emphasis on our birthdays? When a certain person isn’t there, why is it such a big deal?

The only thing I can figure out is for me it is about spending time with those who are important to me. I mean this year turned out great, got to spend quality time with those I cared about and felt they also were happy to be there and we all had a great time.

(dancing fools-Kellie look at the camera)

I don’t really have any answers other than I just find it interesting. So thanks to those who managed to drag themselves to my party. ha ha Good times were had by all!

AND I am happy to report that I have started working out again. Hurray! I am running and doing weights again. So I am back on the wagon. A little sore today, but it is a good pain. he he
Oh one last picture of me and my friend Rose..who I have to thank for the pictures! (I just don't know what i am laughing at).

timing is bad?

I was sitting in line today at Starbucks. Needed a little caffination this morning. It was yummy BTW.

I was texting back and forth with a friend and we were discussing timing and such. Why is it when we are going on with our lives etc, etc. Something sort of falls into our laps and turns our lives in a completely in a different direction.

It is funny I said it is just bad timing, but than it struck me. It isn’t my timing at all. It is God’s timing. I mean honestly, as I said in the last blog, if I need to get out of the way, this too is God. Things may not be perfect and exactly how I would have them to be. However, I look at situations and things that God has put in my life and I have to finally realize, ok this is where I am supposed to be. It IS your timing and not mine.

So I guess, I need to learn patience, now I am not PRAYING for patience…ha ha if you know the old joke if you pray for patience you will be tested for it. he he

I think that again it is me learning that I can’t have everything in my time or when I want it. I still think that I get in the way at times..but I have been praying for His guidance and that He would speak to my heart.

Wow, I am rambling this morning…perhaps I didn’t NEED that caffeine after all. He he

it is good...

Two blogs in one week, what is the world coming to??

Actually I felt with my last blog that this was along these same lines and I just had to express it as well.

It is funny sometimes things that you would think would be a bad thing, well not a ‘bad’ thing, but not how you would have wanted them to turn out, ends up being a blessing.

I have to say I am excited to see what God is doing in my life. How HE is really the one in control. Most of you know I have certain uhm control issues…but recently He has really taken situations out of my hands and there is NOTHING I can do to change it or fix it.

Ya know what, how awesome is that? I am at such a peace in my life that I know that it is only because God has given that to me. “He has made everything beautiful in its time.” Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV

So ya know, hurray for not being in control.

Again have a GREAT Labor Day weekend!!! Rest relax do what it is you need to do.
