bah humbug?

Christmas…well it is that time of year. I go back and forth. I like it I don’t.

I like the lights and the decorations. What I don’t like is all the emphasis there is on ‘family’. I respect family and I think that is great. God has blessed some of my dear friends with great families and people who spend time together and such.

My dearest friends, Blayne & Deborah who are basically my family have always made a point to not exclude those without family and to make the feel welcomed.

I just am over that whole thing…in fact I am being a little cynical and bitter towards the whole song “I’ll be home for Christmas”. Well good for you! ha ha

Actually, I am blessed, I have some really great friends and people who do go out of their way to include me and not let me feel alone. My roommate was great I went to her dad’s for Thanksgiving and got to beat up on her sisters. He he

I know I am sounding a bit pissy and maybe I am being that way. However, I am super excited to head up north to hang out with the Chastians’ and Darcy Dog of course! Least not forget her!!! he he

All I am saying it try to be sensitive to your friends who don’t have great relationships with their family. This time of year especially puts even more of a strain on things. It isn’t asking for a pity party, it is just be mindful of each other.

Most importantly, remember the TRUE meaning of this time of year. The fact that we received the most precious gift in Christ Jesus.
